Today's the day.

It is currently 10;31PM,

There is currently 19 people on Ventrilo.

I would say this has been a big success from previous stages of the S1K.

***

I wonder,

Is there really a purpose of me keeping this company running?

Sometimes, I forget why I'm doing this.

***

And so now,

I would like seek some opinions & thoughts about Ventrilo.

What you like about it?

What you don't like about it?

What things may need improvement?

What are your best moments on Ventrilo?

-- WHAT WILL YOU DO IF I SHUT THIS WHOLE PLACE DOWN? --

P.S - Nigel, looking good.

finally, the s1k.

Bourngiorno Princess!

or "Good morning Princess" (as taken from Life is Beautiful, the film), is going to be my bind for the time being, because it makes me happy :D

It's now the morning after from the celebrations last night held for the October Venaddict winner, none other than Nigel from Lounge Black/Blue. He's dedication to Ventrilo, even during is HSC, is what won him the award this month.
There may be changes to the criteria of the award, though nothing has been confirmed yet. IF there are any changes however, everyone will be notified by Kewok/Daniel.
Congratulations to Nigel for this month! ; November's Venaddict award is now up for grabs everyone! :D
It sucks that Nigel's photo has yet to be uploaded--lame. First thing I did after I connecting to Ventrilo this morning was hopping onto the blog in hope of seeing a homo photo of Nigel. My hopes were obviously shattered.

So I woke up bright and early today to do some work (all part of a trial for a week that daniel duong and i are doing). I've already completed all of Mathematics (2unit) work, nearly done for 3unit, but am currently struggling to do Truong's work :(
I NEED HELP!!
I'm actually liking this trial, where I sleep at 10pm and get up at 6am :) My dad gave me the "wow" look and my mum gave me the "you-should-go-back-to-sleep-and-get-off-Ventrilo" look. (lol. i love my mummy)

Can't wait until 6:30pm tonight! Channel 7 has a free-to-air screening of Disney's Aladdin! :D
YAYYYY! I can't wait to sing-a-long to "A Whole New World". But at 7:30pm, Channel 10 has a screening of Stars Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.

CONFLICTED!

I don't know which one to watch on TV! I don't wanna end up flicking channels :(
On the topic of Star Wars, Tien is a pathetic Star Wars audience. He fell asleep after two minutes again. LAME

That's all for now :)

P.S: I hope this was a good read Sora ;)

xdpoespicism.

Changes,

It's arrived, the new lineup of staff.

Founder - Kewok.
Chairman - Daniel Le.
C.E.O - maggieescargot.

What does each of us do?

I'll start with Founder. Basically, I control all factors of the company. I make sure the server is up and running. Stable as possible, uptime 24/7. I seek for any improvements that can be implemented to Ventrilo/Blog. Overall, I just manage this whole place.

Second. Chairman, Daniel possesses the power over all users, he may do anything to anyone if he thinks it is appropriate. I can assure you, he won't abuse it. He mainly looks after Ventrilo, making Channels for people who are in need of it, etc.

Third. C.E.O, maggieescargot is mainly in charge of the blog, she also possesses the power over users in Ventrilo, but not as much as Daniel. She manages the blog, recruits people that she thinks is worthy of being part of the S1K Blogging Department.

************

Furthermore, Venaddict will DEFINITELY be announced tomorrow.
The Winner will be announced @ Friday 2/11/2007 9;10PM (GMT +10, Sydney).
So stay tuned !!

Tomorrow is D-day (:

So tomorrow, Extension 2 Mathematics begins! :)
I should sleep soon, because class starts at 7:45 am.
Where the sun is brisk and the day is beginning to warm. It makes me happy that we're doing mathematics bright and early in the morning; JOYOUS.

:D

"Rangah Forever
Dillon Never"
-4unit kids.

Yeah. I'm pretty darn excited. It begins my first serious lesson of maths.
No more mucking about, gotta sit and listen and be an effing sponge!
50 to a class room is the plan for the first 3 lessons. lol.
Poverty hits our school hardcore.

SLEEP NOW.

P.S: Thanks Kewok for the early present (L)

Hurray For Nigel! :D

With the lack of things that has been happening at school to the fellow transitional 12th graders, I think it's time to shift focus onto the kids who are currently doing their HSC at the moment.
One fellow Ventrilo member who is sitting his HSC is Nigel.
He has finished all but one of his HSC, namely Physics. Today, he finshed Biology!
What a genius! :D

For those who do not know who Nigel is, he is from the Hurlstone channel/Daniel's Krew. He is probably our eldest member, legally allowed to drink, have sex and is currently on his Ps.
I think he's managed his time pretty well, juggling Ventrilo time with study time.
We should learn this art; its very hard to master ;)

He is a pretty good-looking boy for those single ladies out there. And as a bonus, he's 'disease free' ;)
LOL LOL LOL! (i love snorgtees.com)
Here's a picture of him pimping if you don't believe my word.

Above: Abarna, Shimene, Jenny, Shirley, Nigel (hawt!), Tammi, Maggieescargot, Leena on Nigel's last day.
See? I told you he was a good-looker, major stud at school! :D

GOOD LUCK NIGEL FOR THE REST OF YOUR HSC (although I'm aware I'm a tad delayed/out of date with this post, but its the thought that counts no? )

For the transitional 12th graders, the only significant thing that's happening is Ext 2 offline starts this Thursday. So that means, for the kids who are already doing Ext 1 offline, everyday Monday to Friday, getting up at 6am and attending class at 7:45 am, thus meaning less late-nights on Ventrilo! :(

Trapdoor.

OK, at last. I have finally dropped Chemistry. There was no possible way for me to pass the subject, especially with a test mark of 8% for the yearly exam.

SO anyways, I had double chemistry in the last two periods today, and since I've dropped it, I don't need to attend anymore. :)

AND so, I decided to sign out and walk home. I thought, hey. What a great first day of not attending Chemistry class.

WHEN I arrived home @ around 12:45pm, I rang the doorbell, waited patiently for SOMEBODY to open the door.

USUALLY, I would have my keys with me so I could open the door, but I noticed. I.. FORGOT.

NOBODY was home. it was. so. gay.

LUCKILY I had my phone and mp3 player with me. Well not really, but at least time seemed to have went quicker with them.

WELL anyways, I started to take some photo's of what I could see.

SO there you have it, 2¼ hours of boredom-ness.

Once again, the Soul-Ignition team.

I Survived My First Lesson Of Truong :D

After the school bell rang at 2:55pm, butterflies started to erupt. I don't think I really paid attention to what was going on around me (for all i know a fly could have entered my body through my nose/ear/mouth).
Got on to the train, started feeling even more scared, knowing that Truong would start in 1 and a half hours. To make things worse, people were telling me what to do, and more importantly, what NOT to do. I thought it (or most of it) ridiculous. I got told to bring two pairs of fresh undies, had to address him was "Sir" and not as "Truong", to not look him in the eye, to 'bow' to him when were enter the class, to pay full attention when he is talking (hence, no note-taking), that he is capable of pshy-ching it at anyone, he's a racist, sexist, self-indulgist and various other things.
I suppose that most of what people told me prepared me for what I was to expect.

As 4:30pm crept upon the group of 4 who were gobbling down hot chips and listening to TLC, I was trying to calm myself by doing a rubiks cube, which wasn't so succesful (it took me extra long to do 'second level'). Arriving at the place I was literally gonna regurgitate hot chips soaks in tomato sauce.

I think we arrived a tad late, he was close to getting started. So upon entering the classroom of 30 something students, I don't think I bowed down to him (yay! :D, because I really didn't want to). The first lesson to Ext 2 mathematics, I would say, was a joyous one; hardcore migraine-starting one, but a joyous one.
The guy turned out to be quite rational (maybe because he was in a good mood; i don't know), funny and everything that people told me. I think I wrongly perceived him with the correlating stories. I think the guy is quite alright now; can't wait until next week :D
Aim: to beat a James Ruse person finishing a question & to meet Jeff Tnang. YAY! :)

Minor campaigns have continued at school (no doubt), we're legends at stuff like this!

I made Abarna smile cheesy :D!

That's all for now :)

Life Is Beautiful (La Vita è bella)

So today after two FUN hours of tutor, I walked my way home singing to myself The Cardigans' (or Sixpence None The Richer's) "Kiss Me"; I'm so hip! :D
Got home, prepared some food, and looked for a DVD to watch.
I was gonna go for Star Wars, but I found this Italian film titled "Life Is Beautiful" or "La Vita è bella" and decided to watch that instead;
So here's the low-down on what I thought of the film.
[Excuse the brief review; I have homework to attend to ( I love school (: )]

****

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL (La Vita è bella)
"An unforgettable fable that proves love, family and imagination conquers all."

Winner of 3 Academy Awards in 1998 for Best Actor, Foreign Film and Dramatic Music Score.
With these stats, it's hard to go wrong with this film. ;)
The story is based on a true story of Roberto Benigni (director, lead actor), and depicts a tale of a man who sacrifices himself to save his family, during the height of the Nazi regime. The film cleverly uses humour to tell a story of love, family and imagination, giving the film a light-hearted feeling, but also focuses in on the brutal reality of the mistreatment and genocide of Jews.
I had a lot of laughing moments, as well as a lot of teary moments whilst watching the film. It causes the audience to reflect on how we perceive our lives, because ultimately, the perspectives that we have, can allow us to take an alternate course on a "journey that had to be".
Parts of the film can be a bit disturbing and confronting (I was about to regurgitate my noodles when I was watching, or perhaps I have a weak stomach? :S )
I give the film a 4.5 out of 5 stars and would date anybody who watched/will watch it ;)

****

Excuse the in-complexities of the English I used; I'm thinking about mathematics LOL! :P
And before I go, I would like to say that the leaf that is acting as the background to the "Soul-" part of "Soul-Ignition" header is sexy. I like it :D

On another note, I think Ventrilo was made by a group of ventriloquists, some sort of cult who wanted to mimic the voice of others or something. So as users of Ventrilo, I think we should all aspire to be ventriloquists :D

10 Things I Learnt From Spending The Night In The City

So instead of spending the night (procrastinating) on the infamous Ventrilo, I was out and about in the city.
Oh dear I do miss it. It's even more pretty at night. (:
I think I learned heaps from tonights outing to the city.
  1. The City of Sydney does NOT go to sleep at 11pm (as I previously thought), but rather at around 2-3am.
  2. One little car accident on the main road, can cause traffic jams that are 10897493571941 cars long (before you are release from the jam)
  3. Saturday night is probably the most busiest night of the week for restuarants and pubs. I saw queues for Sizzlers, Superbowl, and various Inns and Pubs.
  4. Saturday night is also the most grande night to go out clubbing. We past one on a walk down Cockle Bay and the clubs on the second story were playing some awesome dancing music; I can't wait until my 18th- I want to go clubbing :D
  5. Once upon a time, entrance to the Centrepoint tower used to be $3 O: ( The entrance price now is at $24 per person, that's a 800% increase! )
  6. Koreans like to hang out in groups- even in their 40s, just to see a Korean artist perform at the Entertainment Centre.
  7. Ice-cream palours with a Danish influence are the most popular.
  8. Roti is a Malaysian dish (that is heaps yummy).
  9. The French would happily pose nude for a photo on the beach(Y).
  10. My parents are pretty hip.

Picture taken from Mamak restaurant
(The boy who made the roti was heaps cute (L):D)

I like what happened to the colour scheme of the blog. Good work guys! (Y)
I was thinking that we should have a Ventrilo family outing (just for fun, or for Kewok's Birthday!) It should be funnnn :D
Anyway, off to chat some more with Tien, Sora and Mythikz :D
